A method for generating model fields of galaxies stochastically is described. The output from several such models is compared with observational data derived from a region on a 48-in. Schmidt plate measured by the COSMOS machine. The results yield, for model-matching observations, a maximum probability of 9.5% for a model with Gaussian-distribution input parameters of 5 + or - 5 galaxies per cluster and a cluster radius of 4 + or - 4 Mpc.
