The motion of single sunspots is considered within the framework of the stochastic approach. The solutions of the stochastic equations correspond well to the observations qualitatively and quantitatively. It is shown that the motion of sunspots, depending on their size, may be due either to random force or to initial conditions. The contribution of differential rotation to sunspot velocity distribution is found to be negligible.
