This paper reviews one special type of interaction between stellar
ejecta and the surrounding medium: the interaction of a jet with the
surrounding ISM. The cases of jets from young stars and jets associated
with Planetary Nebulae (PNe) are discussed. A special effort is made to
highlight the contributions of latin american researchers to this topic.
