Brazil is now among the 7 countries that will dominate the technology of interferometry for astrophysical high spatial and time resolution observation in microwave band. The Prototype of Brazilian Decimetric Array (PBDA), unique in Latin America, has been successfully developed. A spin off for this technical development with high pointing accuracy will have application in satellite tracking, monitoring of the frequency interference and other purposes. This array operates in the frequency range of (1.2 - 1.7) GHz. Mechanical alt-azimuth mount for parabolic dishes of 4 or 5 meter diameter mesh type antennas have been developed locally. Alt-azimuth tracking systems hardware/software to track 5 antennas simultaneously has been integrated by Inteltek Automation Company of Pune, India. Tracking systems hardware panels mounting and cables routing were done locally. Crossed log-periodic dual polarized feeders were developed, with 50 ohm impedance operating in the frequency range of (1.2 - 1.7) GHz and they were tested in anechoic chamber to measure the VSWR (Voltage Standing Wave Ratio), impedances and cross-talk between the two linear polarization. Low noise pre-amplifiers operating in the frequency range of (1.2 - 1.7) GHz mounted at the back of the feeder were developed and tested. The receivers based on high stability Phase Locked Oscillator (PLO) have been developed with final video output bandwidth of 2.5 MHz. The digital correlator for prototype has been developed and interfaced to PBDA analogue system. Tracking and pointing accuracies for solar non-solar observations, the fringe rates of 10 baselines and also the observation of a weak solar flare will be presented.
