Statistics of spectroscopic binaries with Am spectra are analyzed. The systems considered include six double-line eclipsing binaries with known photometric elements, five single-line eclipsing binaries with known mass functions, and 12 noneclipsing spectroscopic binaries with known trigonometric parallaxes larger than 0.020 arcsec. It is found that: (1) Am characteristics appear to be pronounced for a slightly evolved stage with log g in the range from 3.8 to 4.2 and radii of 1.5 to 2.7 solar radii; (2) the helium content and mixing length are not uniform for atmospheres of Am stars; (3) synchronization between rotation and revolution is characteristic of almost all Am binaries with orbital periods less than six days but depends on the stellar evolutionary ages for Am binaries with orbital periods of six to ten days; and (4) the metallicity excess for Am spectroscopic binaries (including the effect of the secondary components) decreases significantly with the rotational velocity of the Am (primary) components.
