We present results from our systematic and statistical study of the X-ray and optical light curves of galactic X-ray novae. The light curve data are collected from literature for all X-ray nova outbursts observed in the last three decades. Many characteristic features in the X-ray nova light curves are identified and possible correlation between these different features are discussed. We will also discuss the physical processes in the outbursting accretion disks which may be responsible for these observational characteristics.
