A statistical analysis of published data of investigations of radar backscattering for five zones of the Martian surface is carried out on an SM-3 computer. The results are found to permit a characterization of the average reflectivities of each of the investigated zones. It is found that zones 2-5 have higher values of sigmazero than zone 1 on the average, with a rather narrow backscattering diagram
