A statistical analysis of observations of electrophonic fireballs (six catalogs of these objects were published by different specialists in 1951-1988) is given. The data on angular diameters, forms, colors, brightness of the fireballs and other characteristics are presented. The peculiarities of anomalous sounds and their dependence on sparking, fragmentation of fireballs, formation of meteoric track, and so on are considered. Other phenomena observed during the flights of these fireballs are discussed. The inference about the possibility of a few mechanisms of excitation of the sounds from fireballs is made on the basis of all the data, and these mechanisms are briefly discussed.
