The present paper discusses the star sensors used for orientation and
stabilization of the Orion-2 astrophysical observatory which was
installed on the Soyuz-13 spacecraft. The requirements placed on the
parameters of the two-coordinate and one-coordinate sensors are given.
Preflight tests of the Orion-2 complex are described.
