The addition of near infrared flux measurements to the already existing optical fluxes in the Northern Hubble Deep Field greatly increases the accuracy of the photometric redshift technique. We use a modification of this technique to determine both the redshift and the extinction for all of the detected galaxies in the NICMOS images of the Northern Hubble Deep Field. We use the flux, redshift, and extinction determination to measure the ultraviolet flux at 1500 angstroms and relate that to the rate of star formation in each galaxy. From this measure we plot the history of star formation for the galaxies in our images. It is important to note that the limited area of the HDF is not large enough to derive cosmologically significant conclusions, however, the number of measured galaxies is large enough to make valid conclusion about the history of star formation in the observed area.
