It is confirmed that, in compact synchrotron sources with developed turbulence, electron acceleration can arise which leads to the formation of spectra of relativistic particles of a Maxwellian type with typical values of the Lorentz factor (gamma0) between 100 and 10,000. The relativistic particles, either directly or through secondary gamma rays, lead to the formation of electron-positron pairs . The results are of interest in connection with X-ray emission from active galactic nuclei and quasars.
