The $\mu$-Camassa-Holm ($\mu$CH) equation is a nonlinear integrable partial
differential equation closely related to the Camassa-Holm equation. We prove
that the periodic peaked traveling wave solutions (peakons) of the $\mu$CH
equation are orbitally stable.
