Radiative Transfer: Earth Atmosphere
Scientific paper
An original approach for the forward radiative transfer modelling of space radiometric observations is presented and applied to the atmospheric vertical temperature sounder SSM/T (Special Sensor Microwave/Temperature) measurements. This approach relies on multi-layer neural networks and is compared to "classical" methods. This study has been realized not in a simulation context but with real data from radiosondes and the SSM/T instrument.
