Through stealth, consistency, and endurance, the RECONS group has been spying on our neighbors for the past 10 years. Here we'll present the latest results on efforts to explore our neighborhood, including a comprehensive 2010 census of stars and their companions within 10 pc, and how the neighborhood has changed in the past decade. The large increase in known nearby red dwarfs is arguably more surprising than modest increases in brown dwarfs and planets. Via the SMARTS Consortium, our continuing astrometric effort at CTIO is also revealing a bevy of clandestine companions to many of our known and new neighbors, including red, brown, and white dwarfs ... or is one of those companions a neutron star at only 30 pc?
This work has been supported by the National Science Foundation under grant AST-0908402, NASA's Space Interferometry Mission, and Georgia State University.
