We present infrared and millimeter observations of Barnard 335, the prototype for an isolated Bok globule with an embedded protostar. Using Spitzer data we measure the source luminosity; we use the observation of an 8 micron shadow to constrain the density profile and structure of the innermost globule material near the protostar. HHT observations confirm the detection of a flattened molecular core with diameter of about 10000 AU and the same orientation as the circumstellar disk (about 100 to 200 AU in diameter). Our observations provide new insights into the structure of the post-collapse core and properties of the protostar, and are roughly consistent with theoretical simulations of collapsing embedded protostars.
