Solar Radio Bursts: Radiation Mechanisms, Solar Microwave Bursts

Scientific paper

The observational characteristics of a great microwave type IVμ burst on 1988 December 16 are summarized. The period oscillations of the burst resulting from the magnetic intensities in magnetic flux bottle were modulated by MHD. The type IVμ burst were generated from the gyrosynchrotron radiation of one part of high energy electrons trapped by magnetic field. The spike radiation resulted from energies of the perpendicular component and was superimposed on microwave type IVμ burst.
