Spectrograms of the type O(f) star 68 Cyg, centered in a ring nebula, have been analyzed. Both the radial velocities (K approximately 30 km/sec) and the equivalent widths of the absorption lines show a 5.1/d periodicity (W-lambda amplitude, approximately 30 percent). The star is classed as O7(f) V. Perhaps 68 Cyg is a close binary whose 30 solar masses primary has a low-mass (approximately 3 solar masses) companion.
