Spectroscopic observations of six candidates for blue compact dwarf galaxies in the Virgo Cluster are presented. Four objects show emission lines in their spectra. The positions of the emission lines or absorption lines are measured and heliocentric velocities are derived. Three of the galaxies observed here had no previous redshift measurements. For the three other objects, the velocities agree well with earlier observations. According to their velocities, none of the six galaxies is a member of the Virgo Cluster. It follows that their absolute magnitudes are larger than those of dwarf galaxies. The nature of the observed objects is discussed considering the spectroscopic results, published optical and H I data, and the morphologies. Only one candidate, VCC 380, emerged as a galaxy with a possible blue compact component.
