A detailed local thermodynamic equilibrium (LTE) analysis of metallic lines in the near-UV region (between lambda 3100 and 3600 A) was carried out for the bright normal A-type star gamma Gem (A0IV), using a line-blanketed model atmosphere. The abundances of 15 elements were determined in this wavelength region. After comparing the results with those of a re-analysis carried out in the visible region, it is suggested that the microturbulent velocity determined in the near-UV region is slightly smaller than that determined in the visible region. Good agreements have been found in the abundances of ten elements which were observed in both wavelength regions. The abundances of 13 element coincide with the solar values. Sr is slightly underabundant, while Co, Zr, and Ba are overabundant. The abundances of Cu, Nb, and Mo were obtained for the first time in this star. The abundance of Cu appears to be solar, while the latter two elements suggest overabundances.
