In the autumn of 1977 the absolute distribution of energy in the integral spectrum of RZ Cas in "active" out-of-eclipse phases (in the days of presence of strong emission lines) was obtained. The excess continuum radiation in the "active" phases as compared to the "quiet" phases indicates the short-time appearance of an additional source of radiation with a temperature of about 25000 - 30000K during the outbursts.
