The spectrograms of seven stars were studied which displayed simultaneously spectral signs of different temperature characteristics. On the assumption that the composite nature of the spectra was due to the fact that each object studied was actually a binary source, an approximate method is developed for determining the spectral class of the weaker source. Then, knowing the spectral class of each of the components, that is, the corresponding energy distribution for each source and the magnitude of the Balmer shifts, the theoretical total energy distribution was computed, which agreed well with the observed data.
