New spectral classifications and UBV photometry of faint stars in the
Pleiades cluster are presented. These show that the relatively high
reddening of HD 23512 is shared by the other cluster members in the
southwest of the cluster. For the cluster members studied in other parts
of the cluster, reddening values are normal.
