Spectra belonging to the 3s(2)3p(n)-3s3p(n+1) transition arrays emitted from nickel ions which are of interest for the interpretation of solar spectrograms are classified along with isoelectronic spectra in cobalt ions. The analysis relied on new spectroscopic observations of a theta-pinch plasma into which nickel carbonyl was added to the filling gas. The wavelengths were determined with the aid of semi-automatic plate measuring equipment. The wavelength region investigated extends from 209 to 344 A.
