As a part of the International Gamma-Ray Astrophysics Laboratory (INTEGRAL) project, small CsI(Tl) scintillation crystals have been irradiated with high-energy protons (0.2 and 1.0 GeV) in order to measure the induced radioactivity. The unstable isotopes have been identified by gamma-ray spectroscopy using a HP Ge detector. Comparison of the results with previous theoretical assessments are presented, together with the implications for the background rejection for the INTEGRAL imager.
