This paper reviews the latest progress in the space VLBI orbit determination and its astrogeodynamic applications. The space VLBI observables involve simultaneously radio celestial reference frame, dynamical reference frame and terrestrial reference frame. Therefore it is the only existing technique that is able to connect the above three independent reference frames directly. As new, precise observables, space VLBI delay and delay rate can also be used to improve the accuracy of orbit determination. Theory of covariance analysis to assess the possible precision of reference connecting and stochastic perturbation model to treat the solar radiation pressure are introduced.
