3-dimensional space motions provide important clues to the origins and ages of stars and sub-stellar mass objects, because space motions can be used to associate individual objects with streams, moving groups, or associations of know ages. We are completing a program to determine the parallaxes of 28 southern brown dwarfs, Since the proper motions are known, only the radial velocities need be measured to yield the full 3D space motions. This will nearly double the number of brown dwarfs with full space motions. and will result in a much more uniform spatial distribution since most of the well-studied nearby brown dwarfs are in the northern hemisphere.
