Scientific paper

A detailed examination has been made of the tabulated SASII data using the cross-correlation technique and a 'source catalogue' has been derived. Many of the sources coincide in position and flux with those from the COSB experiment. Monte Carlo analyses have also been performed and it is concluded that many of the sources can be understood in terms of cosmic ray interactions with the lumpy interstellar gas.
