The ISAS K and S series sounding rockets and M-3s satellite launcher are presented. Facilities at the Kagoshima space center are described. Sounding rocket experiments include UV imaging of the solar surface; night time homospheric wind velocity measurement; studies of interplanetary dust; NO density profile measurement; altitude distribution measurement of oxygen molecules; and verification of predawn enhancement of airglow and photoelectron traveling from Australia.
