We present a comprehensive overview of the sample of all stellar systems with proper motion greater than 1.0 arcsec/year, a crucial sample for nearby star work. Forty parallax results for these systems from CTIOPI (Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory Parallax Investigation) are presented --- these are the first parallaxes for any of these stars. Four of the systems are new members of the RECONS 10 pc sample. Also presented are VRI photometry and optical spectroscopy for these systems acquired from CTIO and Steward Observatory, as well as the discovery of several new faint companions. In its entirety, this sample of the fastest moving stars in the sky provides a fundamental database providing insight about the Sun's neighbors, subdwarfs, and extremely fast moving stars that might be exiting the Galaxy.
