Spiral Galaxies: Hubble Sequence, Spiral Galaxies: Statistics
Scientific paper
This paper presents some statistical results about the parameters, such as the winding parameter, pitch angle, flatness and thickness of disk along the Hubble sequences for 365 spiral galaxies that have been published in Astron. Astrophys., Suppl. Ser., and also the mean values of these parameters. The results of analysis show that the Hubble classification of spiral galaxies is only a qualitative method and the dispersion relation is suited to most spiral galaxies.
