Spectroscopic observations in the region 4500-7500 A of 26 K stars are reported. The observations were obtained with 52- and 104-cm reflecting telescopes coupled with a plane diffraction grating spectral scanner. Prominent frequencies and their probable assignments are presented for the 26 stars, and it is pointed out that the frequencies are mostly atomic and diatomic. It is noted that almost all stars exhibit the H alpha and H beta lines at 6562 and 4861 A, respectively, along with significant CN, AlO, C2, TiO, CaH and MgH bands and traces of Fe I, La I, Ti I, Zr I, Ba I, Ca I and Al I. It is concluded that the main spectroscopic features of the K stars under investigation are similar.
