Analysis of UBV observations of the X-ray binary HZ Her/Her X-1 during 1972-1988 is performed. It is shown that the orbital light curve has been stable over these 16 years. It is assumed that the observed small deviations from the mean orbital curve may be connected with geometrical effects and can be explained in the framework of the twisted precessing accretion disk model.
