Certain solar EUV spectral intensities in the wavelength range from 15 to 103 nm are used as indices of solar activity, and their long-term variation is compared with that of two classical activity indices, viz., Zuerich sunspot number and Covington's (10.7-cm radio noise) F index. Autocorrelation and cross-correlation functions for the different indices are computed, the recurrence tendency of the various emissions with solar rotational period is considered, and it is shown that the autocorrelation function of the different emissions lies between those of the Zuerich sunspot number and the Covington index. It is tentatively concluded that the variation of the EUV emissions during minimum conditions might to some extent be predictable from earlier observations of the Covington index.
