Classes of globally exact magnetospheres in the force-free approximation are derived and discussed. It is pointed out that these classes include all previously known exact solutions. Since the method of solution allows for differential rotation of the field lines, the models are not applicable to magnetospheres attached to rigidly rotating stars. Several of the models are thought to be promising candidates for magnetospheres associated with nonuniformly rotating disks. The fact that the focusing of electromagnetic energy flux along the axis of rotation, an essential ingredient of Blanford's model, is a property of several of the models considered here is thought to be of particular interest.
