It has been shown that the dynamical (relativistic field theory) interpretation of gravitation predicts the existence of scalar gravitational radiation. The energy loss by this radiation is of the order of Mc2 at the stage of relativistic collapse. The collapse will be finished by a powerful impulse (or several impulses) of scalar radiation instead of black hole formation. This gives a new possibility to explain SN explosions and high peculiar velocities of some O-B stars. Powerful scalar radiation is also expected from active galactic nuclei. Superluminal expansion observed in some compact extragalactic radio sources may be caused by scalar radiation.
