The one-dimensional diffusion equation for the hadronic cosmic-ray component in the atmosphere is solved assuming an ln-squared E dependence on the energy for the interaction mean free path. It is shown that the calculations agree well with experimental data on the integral hadronic flux at Mt. Fuji when the average elasticity for nucleons and pions is about 0.37.
