The authors introduce a means of studying the solution-convergence characteristics of the Wilson-Devinney (WD) program, and of handling the solution of light curves of eclipsing binary stars; particularly those which have a global solution minimum found in a broad and shallow region of solution space. The authors have applied this technique to the interesting close binary CN Andromedae, and present results of numerical experiments which show how effectively the WD program reaches the global minimum in the solution of the light curve. This technique is effective if substantial computational resources are available.
