Caroubalos (1964) obtained a linear dependence of the duration of shock
wave propagation from the sun to the earth on a logarithm of type IV
burst energy. In this paper, the correlation is extended to encompass
the influence of solar wind velocity on shock propagation time. A
correlation formula is obtained.
