The Okayama observatory's solar vector magnetogram instrument is mounted at the focal plane of a 65-cm solar Coudetelescope, and its observations are commonly of the Fe I 5250 A line. The data obtained encompasses line wing and continuum intensities, line polarizations, radial velocity, continuum polarizations, and magnetic lines of force (calculated by assuming the potential field). All except the last of the parameters mentioned can be displayed within 15 min of an observation's completion.
