The results obtained by Sakurai (1972) regarding the transfer of angular momentum occurring in connection with Eddington-Sweet circulation are considered along with an investigation by Demarque et al. (1973), giving attention to the oblateness in solar models. Possibilities for inducing a transient phase with a core that is spinning up are discussed and the solar neutrino problem is taken into account.
