Late-Type Stars: Stellar Activity, Late-Type Stars: Stellar Flares, Late-Type Stars: Stellar Chromospheres
Scientific paper
This paper summarizes our present understanding of solar-like activities in flares of late-type stars from optical, UV and X-ray emissions. The remarkable progress has been made in the last decade on the study of the empirical relationship between chromospheric and coronal fluxes as well as the correlations of the activities with stellar parameters, such as the spectral type, rotation, Rossby number, age and so on. Possible explanations of them and some particular problems for further investigation are briefly described.
