We present a study of coronal holes (not including the polar holes) using observations from SOHO EIT during 1996 and 1997. EIT obtains daily full disk observations of the Sun at spectral emission lines from FeIX,X (171 A), FeXII (195 A), FeXV (284 A), and HeII (304 A). Previous studies (mainly He I 10830 A and ground based magnetograms) have demonstrated the role that bipolar magnetic regions play in their evolution as well as rotation rates for recurrent coronal holes. We further the correlation between coronal holes and bipolar fields by presenting definitive symbiotic relationships between coronal holes and active regions. Comparisons of EUV observations and magnetograms plus potential field extrapolations are shown.
