The Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO), together with the Cluster mission, makes up ESA's Solar Terrestrial Science Program (STSP). STSP is under development with NASA for comprehensive studies of the sun, the acceleration and propagation of the solar wind, its interaction with earth, and plasma processes in both the magnetospheric and solar context.
