This paper describes the on-board software developed under the Micro
Robots for Scientific Applications 2 (MiRo2) activity commissioned by
the European Space Agency (ESA). The activity designed and developed a
Robotic Sampling System - a prototype of a tracked rover with a drilling
system for deep (up to 2 meters) sampling on a planetary surface.
