Active Galactic Nuclei: X-Ray Variations, Active Galactic Nuclei: Soft X Rays
Scientific paper
The authors introduced a new kind of timescale, the exponential timescale, to analyze soft X-ray variabilities in active galactic nuclei by processing ROSAT/PSPC pointing data. They also discussed some physical constraints, such as the size of radiation region, the mass accretion rate, and so on. The results are consistent with the unified scheme of active galactic nuclei.
