We propose short snapshot observations of X-ray bright early-type galaxies selected from a large ROSAT survey. We will measure the nuclear and diffuse (hot thermal gas) emission and compare the core structure to radio maps, with particular emphasis on studying radio or X-ray jets. We will compare the nuclear emission to the central black hole mass derived from the galaxy velocity dispersion.
