As a wide field, imaging space telescope SNAP can provide unique capabilities to probe the cosmic expansion history a(t) and dark energy, map the formation and evolution of large scale structure, and explore astrophysics in the high redshift universe including black holes, quasars, and star formation out to z=10. Rich data sets of optical and near infrared imaging to AB mag 28 over thousands of square degrees, and to AB=30 in the deep survey, with space quality imaging resolution, will open exciting discovery potential for many fields of astronomy and cosmology.
