Terminal Gorenstein Fano polytopes arising from finite directed graphs are considered. Then we study the problem of which directed graphs yield smooth Fano polytopes. Moreover, it turns out that any centrally symmetric or pseudo symmetric smooth Fano polytopes can be obtained from directed graphs. In addition, we describe the primitive collections of smooth Fano polytopes arising from directed graphs.
