Globular Clusters: Rr Lyrae Stars

Scientific paper

The authors report the existence of another variable star near the red boundary in M3 with longer period (P1 = 1.078 day) and lower amplitude (0.03 mag in V). This is the star II-47. According to Johnson and Sandage, list V = 15.59 and B-V = 0.47. However, this star is located slightly redward of the red boundary when II-47 is plotted in the C-M diagram. In the period - amplitude diagram, the three stars (I-42, I-100, II-47) form a small group.
