Schmidt Telescopes: Site Testing, Observatories: Site Testing

Scientific paper

A site testing campaign for Schmidt Telescope in China (named as CST) lasted from January 1989 to December 1991 on Wuling Mountain near Xinglong Observing Station of the Beijing Astronomical Observatory in Hebei Province. The results indicate that the number of clear nights on Wuling Mountain is near the same as that at Xinglong Station with 128 photometric nights and 56 spectroscopic ones.
